Graduation!

I can finally say that I am a college graduate from the University of Oklahoma! It was always a dream for me to be able to attend OU and finally in 2010 I decided that I wanted to pursue my dream and so I applied and was accepted in four days for the spring semester in 2011. During my 4 semesters at OU, I pursued a Religious Studies degree with the hope of getting my master's degree in counseling, which hopefully will happen as I was accepted into the counseling program at Liberty University. I will be taking all of my graduate classes online that I possibly can since my husband works at Tinker Air Force base and loves his job! (Plus he has drill every month and I do not want him to have to transfer) so it is just easier if I do it online or take classes at a college nearby.
One of my favorite times during graduation besides getting to walk across the stage!
I am so nervous about this next chapter in my life, but my husband (married in 2011) has stood by my side every step of the way. Whether I had to have surgery (2 times) or had to deal with a tragic death. He kept pushing me to continue on when I wanted to give up. I love and appreciate everything that he has done for me especially since he had to put up with me being gone pretty much 24/7 during midterms and finals.

Day 6 of 15 Day Challenge!

The one thing that I have always wanted to do is skydive! I think that I would honestly have to have a coach jump out of the plane with me attached to them because I would be way to scared to make the jump myself!

I would also love to spend an entire summer in Honduras helping with medical mission or helping to build houses, I have not been able to do this because of my military obligations, but even if it is just going to be for a week or two, I really want to go on a mission trip there!

Day 5 of 15 Day Challenge!

I have actually never thought of 5 people that I could have dinner with if I could, but anyways here goes!

1. I would have dinner with my father. He passed away earlier this year and I would give anything to be able to have another conversation with him, I miss him so much!

2. I would love to have dinner with Blake Mycoskie. He is the CEO and Founder of TOMS and I would absolutely love to hear his story.

3. My third person would be Eleanor Roosevelt. She was such a strong woman and it would be an honor to get to speak with her!

4. My fourth is Princess Diana. She was such a humanitarian!

5. My final person would be Mother Teresa. I think this one is pretty much self explanatory!

Day 4 of 15 day Challenge!

I am trying so hard to keep up with the 15 day challenge!
This blog shall be about my favorite childhood memory.

Most people do not know that I am adopted and was at the age of 6. I was put into foster care with my two brothers when I was three years old and luckily we were only in one foster home when our parents decided that they wanted to adopt us, so for 3 long emotional years, my parents went through the adoption process and only 5 days after I turned 6, my brothers and I became Peaker's. This was by far my favorite childhood memory because I finally had the family that I had always wanted.

I couldn't find a picture of my family and I from when I was younger so I decided to upload ones from my wedding.

This is one of my favorite pictures because it was one of the last few that I was able to take before my dad passed away. I love and miss you dad!

Day 3 of 15 Days Challege!

A piece of clothing that I am attached to would be any pair of my TOMS. They are by far the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned and the added bonus is that a child in need gets a free pair! I am especially attached to my light blue leopard print ones, I used to be really afraid to wear TOMS that were bright colors, but now I really do not care if they match anything that I am wearing!

Day 2 of 15 Day Challenge

I know that I am running behind on my blog, but thanks to school, I feel like I am running behind on everything!
Day 2 is to write a 6 word memoir of myself, so here goes:

"Trial and error, but clearly thinking"

As in my first challenge, I said that I had to go to Iraq to learn what I truly wanted to do with my life and throughout my college years, I could not decide on a major, but after many attempts, I finally realized that I wanted to devote my life to helping others!
